Version 1.1 adds new options to use Flickr photos (if you don’t have version 1.1 redownload MatchWhack from iTunes). Which option you use depends on whether you want to view PUBLIC Flickr images or PRIVATE images.

In the Options view there are three Flickr options in the “More Images” section:

Add Flickr Images - Allows access to any public Flickr images if you know the screen name

Add MatchWhack Flickr Images - Allows access to MatchWhack Flickr photo sets

Advanced Flickr Settings - Allows access to Private and Public photos. You must login using your Flickr account username and password

BEST WAY TO VIEW PUBLIC IMAGES (ADD FLICKR IMAGES)

1. 1)If you know the Flickr Screen Name, AND the photos you want to use are set to be viewable by the public, tap the “Add Flickr Images” option.
   

2. 2)Enter the Flickr Screen Name and then tap Search. NOTE: Your Flickr screen name is NOT always the same as the Yahoo! username that you may use to login to Flickr.

3. 3)You should get a list of the public Flickr photo sets for that user. If you don’t see any photo sets, then chances are that user does NOT have any Flickr photos viewable to the public. In that case skip to the steps below on how to use the “Advanced Flickr Settings.”
   

BEST WAY TO VIEW PRIVATE FLICKR PHOTOS (ADVANCED FLICKR SETTINGS)

1. 1)You must know your Flickr Username and Password to use the Advanced Flickr Settings and access Flickr photos set as Private.
   

2. 2)In the Options view tap “Advanced Flickr Settings”
   

3. 3)You will get an instructions page detailing how to login to Flickr from within MatchWhack. Note the RED text stating that currently No Flickr account is authorized

4. 4)Tap the Login button at the top right. This will take you to a view where you can login to Flickr using your username and password.

5. 5)Enter your Flickr username and password and then tap the Done button.  NOTE: This is often your Yahoo! login username and password.
   

6. 6)If the login is successful you will be asked if you want to allow MatchWhack access to your photos. Tap the “OK, I’LL ALLOW IT” button. NOTE: MatchWhack does NOT have access to anything but photos. MatchWhack does NOT save or send any of this information but to your own iPhone.

7. 7)After tapping “OK, I’LL ALLOW IT” you will get a login confirmation page. Tap Done.

8. 8)After tapping Done you are back to the Advanced Flickr view. You should see Green text showing the Flickr screen name you are logged in as.

9. 9)Tap the Option button to return to the Options view where you can now view your images.
   

10. 10)In the Options view tap the “Add My Flickr Images” to then see the photo sets available to play MatchWhack with.
